History

Arcadia Yachts was founded in 2008 by a group of entrepreneurs passionate about green technologies. The company’s name is inspired by a mythological place where people live in harmony with nature.

Just one year later, the shipyard launched its first yacht, the Arcadia 85. This model featured solar panels integrated into the hardtop and an efficient diesel-electric propulsion system, allowing for silent cruising at 8 knots solely on battery power with minimal noise and vibrations. The yacht's design was developed in collaboration with the renowned Francesco Guide Design studio. The Arcadia 85's innovative design and groundbreaking energy system quickly captured the attention of yachting experts, earning several awards at prestigious events, including the World Yachts Trophies.

The success of the Arcadia 85 led to a surge in orders, necessitating an expansion of production capabilities. In 2018, Arcadia Yachts acquired Marina di Torre Annunziata srl, increasing its production capacity to eight hulls in the construction phase and four in the lamination phase.

Throughout its history, the company has launched over 30 hulls.

Facilities
Arcadia Yachts' main production facility, covering 47,000 square meters, is located in Torre Annunziata, near Naples, Italy. The shipyard is recognized as a major player in the superyacht market, with up to 12 hulls under construction and maintenance at any given time.
Range

Arcadia Yachts specializes in semi-custom superyachts, offering clients the ability to oversee and tailor the organization of interior spaces to meet their specific needs. Their range features designer yachts crafted from composite materials, aluminum, and steel, divided into two main series:

  • A Series: The more advanced series includes four models—A85, A96, A105, and A115—ranging from 25 to 35 meters in length.
  • Sherpa Series: Known for their extended range and spacious design, these models offer increased deck areas and are available in two versions: Sherpa (18 meters) and Sherpa XL (24 meters).

The company continues to expand its fleet and explore new market segments. In 2023, Arcadia Yachts unveiled the new A96 model in collaboration with the renowned Spanish studio LOBANOV DESIGN. This model has garnered numerous awards at prestigious international events, including the World Yachts Trophies (Most Innovative Yacht), Design & Innovation Award (Eco Award), and Design & Innovation Award (Best Interior Design).

Innovation and specialization
When developing new models, Arcadia Yachts focuses on minimizing environmental impact by incorporating innovative features. Their approach includes using transitional hull designs, hybrid diesel-electric propulsion systems, and solar panels with onboard batteries that can power the yacht's essential systems without the constant use of generators. Additionally, the use of multi-layered glass with gas-filled cavities in the superstructure windows and portholes ensures excellent thermal insulation, comparable to a 20-centimeter thick brick wall.

These innovations collectively enhance the yacht's energy efficiency by 15-40%, while simultaneously reducing fuel consumption and cutting harmful emissions.
