History
Astilleros Astondoa began as a small workshop in Portugalete, Spain, where brothers Jesús and José Astondoa Martínez launched their boat-building business. The company remains family-owned and is now managed by the fourth generation of the Astondoa family. After a brief hiatus during World War II, Astondoa shifted its focus to producing yachts and recreational boats.
In the 1960s and 1970s, the shipyard relocated to the Mediterranean coast in Santa Pola, Alicante, Spain, where it not only expanded its production facilities but also established its own marina. In the 1980s, Astondoa transitioned from using wood to composites as the primary material for building hulls.
Astondoa made its mark in the superyacht segment in 2007 with the launch of the 45-meter motor yacht M/Y SAMURAI ONE, followed by the similar superyacht M/Y AMARANTA P (now known as PANAKEIA) the following year.
Throughout its century-long history, Astilleros Astondoa has built over 3,000 hulls.

- Santa Pola: The main yard, covering 30,000 square meters, specializes in building yachts and superyachts up to and beyond 37 meters, including custom projects.
- Gador: This facility focuses on the production of Faeton yachts, ranging from 7 to 11 meters.
- Almansa: Dedicated to constructing motor yachts up to 16 meters.
- Almansa: Another division in Almansa handles the manufacturing of yacht interiors for the company.
