History

Azimut Yachts was founded in 1969 by Paolo Vitelli in Turin, where the company still operates its production facilities for yachts up to 22 meters in length.

In 1985, Azimut acquired the legendary brand Benetti, known for its production of fiberglass displacement and semi-displacement superyachts. This acquisition allowed the newly combined Azimut | Benetti Group to extend its model range to superyachts up to 130 meters in length.

The company continually refreshes its lineup with innovative designs and new models. Notably, in 2020, the semi-displacement superyacht MAGELLANO 25 METRI, featuring a carbon and fiberglass hull, made its debut at a special showcase in Viareggio. In 2021, the flagship 38-meter yacht GRANDE 38 TRIDECK, named M/Y SHABBY, was launched. Most recently, at the Cannes Boat Show in September 2023, Azimut introduced the new high-speed yacht VERVE 48.

Facilities

Azimut Yachts operates production facilities totaling over 300,000 square meters, located in Italy (Avigliana with 50,000 sq.m. and Viareggio with 52,000 sq.m.) and Brazil (Itajaí with 200,000 sq.m.).

Additionally, the Azimut | Benetti Group has established a comprehensive dealer network across 68 countries worldwide.

Range

To create its uniquely Italian and elegant yacht style, Azimut Yachts collaborates with renowned designers such as Matteo Thun, Antonio Rodriguez, m²atelier, and Alberto Mancini, among others.

Azimut Yachts offers its clients yachts across five distinct series:

Atlantis: Day cruisers featuring planing hulls.
Flybridge: Yachts ranging from 12 to 30 meters with an open upper deck.
Magellano: Expedition motor yachts of trawler type, from 12 to 24 meters in length.
Verve: Motor yachts that combine the benefits of center-console models with those of cruisers.
S Collection: Sporty yachts designed for high performance.
Grande: Planing superyachts with three decks, starting from 30 meters in length.

These series cater to a variety of preferences, from luxurious day yachts to high-performance superyachts.
