History
Baglietto was founded in 1854 by Pietro Baglietto, a young enthusiast of boat building, who opened a small shipyard in the Italian town of Varazze specializing in racing sailboats. By the early 20th century, the shipyard shifted its focus to motor vessels and, in 1906, launched the world’s first motor yacht with an internal combustion engine, the 22-meter *GIUSEPPINA*.

In 1999, Baglietto expanded its production capabilities significantly by acquiring the Ferrari shipyard in La Spezia. Then, in 2012, the company, along with the yacht brand CCN, came under the control of Gruppo Gavio, receiving €20 million in investment for production development.

In 2021, Baglietto garnered prestigious awards for two of its models: *M/Y C* won the World Yachts Trophies for "Best Exterior," and *M/Y CLUB M* was recognized with the World Superyacht Awards and Design & Innovation Awards from Boat International for "Best Interior."
Facilities
Baglietto operates the Cantieri di Pisa shipyard in La Spezia, which spans 32,000 square meters and features two 85-meter dry docks. This facility enables the company to build up to 4 superyachts per year, each up to 60 meters in length. Additionally, the shipyard is equipped to provide maintenance and refit services for yachts up to 150 meters in length and weighing up to 650 tons.
Range
In addition to custom-built yachts, Baglietto offers four unique model lines:

  • MV Series: High-speed open aluminum tenders ranging from 13 to 19 meters, capable of reaching speeds up to 60 knots.
  • Fast Line: Large planing aluminum yachts from 38 to 46 meters in length.
  • V-Line: Displacement and semi-displacement yachts from 40 to 50 meters, featuring a vertical bow.
  • T-Line: Expedition yachts ranging from 30 to 62 meters.

For its projects, Baglietto collaborates with prominent design firms including Francesco Paskowski Design, with whom they have worked since the 1990s, as well as Stefano Righini, Alberto Mancini Yacht Design, Hot Lab, and Santa Maria Magnolfi.

Noteworthy semi-custom projects that have generated significant interest include:

  • M/Y SEVERIN'S: A 55-meter superyacht delivered in 2020.
  • M/Y ATTITUDE: A 40-meter aluminum yacht from the DOM 133 model, launched in 2022.
  • M/Y RUSH: A 42-meter motor yacht from the Superfast model, also launched in 2022.
