Benetti Shipyard is one of Europe’s oldest luxury yacht manufacturers and a leading name in the global yachting industry. With facilities in Viareggio, Fano, and Livorno, Benetti specializes in crafting bespoke (full-custom) and semi-custom superyachts and megayachts ranging from 37 to 130 meters. Their yachts are renowned for their unique, Italian elegance and are built from fiberglass, steel, and aluminum.

Throughout its storied history, Benetti has delivered over 400 yachts, many of which are celebrated for their design and performance. The shipyard has received numerous accolades from prestigious events such as the World Superyacht Awards, ShowBoats Design Awards, Monaco Yacht Show, and Boat International Design & Innovation Awards. Notably, Benetti has won the "Shipyard Number 1" award from Showboats International six times.

History

Founded by brothers Lorenzo and Virgilio Benetti on the Tyrrhenian coast of Italy in 1873, the shipyard has a long and storied history. By 1980, the company had focused on building yachts 24 meters in length and larger. In 1985, the renowned Azimut shipyard acquired Benetti to expand its production capabilities. By 2003, this merger evolved into the globally recognized shipbuilding group Azimut|Benetti.

The year 2020 was a landmark for the shipyard, marked by the launch of three of the largest motor megayachts ever built in Italy: LUMINOSITY, IJE, and LANA. Each of these impressive yachts exceeds 107 meters in length.

Facilities

The company operates three shipyards with a combined area of over 300,000 square meters:

Lusben Shipyard in Viareggio: Spanning 47,000 square meters, this facility is dedicated to constructing yachts up to 70 meters in length.
Fano Shipyard: Covering 44,000 square meters, it features a dock for yachts up to 60 meters.
Benetti Livorno Shipyard: With a vast area of 190,000 square meters and six large hangars, this location specializes in building superyachts and megayachts.

These extensive facilities enable the company to simultaneously build and service up to 35 yachts.

Range

Benetti’s yacht range features several distinguished series:

CLASS: This series includes classic displacement yachts up to 45 meters in length.
B.YOND: This lineup features steel expedition yachts starting at 37 meters. In 2023, it was expanded with the 55-meter B.Yond 55M, showcasing an exterior design by Lobanov Design.
OASIS: A fresh take on the classic superyacht concept, this series offers yachts up to 40 meters, with new models including the OASIS 34 and OASIS 40.
B.NOW and B.CENTURY: These exclusive models range from 50 to 68 meters in length.
BENETTI CUSTOM: This series encompasses bespoke megayachts up to 130 meters, tailored to individual specifications.

In 2023, Benetti introduced the Diamond 44M to its fleet, which has quickly gained acclaim among enthusiasts of classic yacht designs.
