History
Cantiere delle Marche (CdM) was founded in 2010 by a team of experienced Italian shipbuilders and businessmen: Ennio Cecchini, Gabriele Virgili, Vasco Buonpensiere, and Maurizio Gasparroni.

Just two months after opening, CdM secured a contract to build the 26-meter Italian yacht Vita di Mare (Darwin 86 model). The success of this yacht in the market led to a rapid increase in the shipyard's order portfolio and, consequently, its range of models offered to clients.

In 2016, the shipyard launched the 33-meter steel explorer superyacht M/Y NARVALO, which received a Special Quality Award at the World Superyacht Awards 2017. In 2019, they introduced the 34-meter superyacht M/Y MIMI LA SARDINE, which won two prestigious awards that same year: Boat International’s Design Awards and the World Superyacht Awards.

Since its inception, CdM has successfully delivered over 13 unique projects to its clients.
Facilities
CdM operates a 16,000 square meter production facility in Ancona, Italy, which includes a dedicated dock (750 square meters) capable of accommodating up to four yachts measuring up to 50 meters in length. This setup enables the company to produce 3-4 hulls per year.

The shipyard collaborates with renowned design studios such as Hydro Tec (responsible for the Darwin Class range) and Nauta Yacht Design (behind the Nauta Air series). These partnerships ensure the creation of superyachts with distinctive maritime architecture and luxurious interiors.
Range
In addition to its custom projects with a personalized approach to client needs, Cantiere delle Marche (CdM) has developed four series of semi-custom explorer yachts:

  • Darwin Class: The shipyard’s inaugural series, featuring yachts from 26 to 35 meters in length.
  • Flexplorer: An innovative series of superyachts from 26 to 35 meters, developed in collaboration with Hydro Tec and introduced to the public in 2022.
  • RJ: A series of superyachts ranging from 35 to 47 meters, designed in partnership with Francesco Paszkowski.
  • Deep Blue: The newest line of Italian yachts, spanning 32 to 43 meters, which debuted in 2022 with the 42-meter superyacht M/Y ACALA, designed by Horacio Bozzo.

The standout model for the shipyard is the 47-meter M/Y AUDACE, which holds the title of the largest superyacht ever produced by CdM.
