History
Founded in 1825 by shipbuilder Giovanni Battista Codecasa in Viareggio, Codecasa is a shipyard with a proud two-century family legacy, passed down through generations.

The 1970s marked a significant turning point for the company. In 1973, Codecasa shifted its focus to luxury motor yachts, and in 1977, it established a new facility, Cantieri Navali Ugo Codecasa. The original shipyard was modernized in 1982 and renamed Codecasa Due, followed by the opening of a third yard, Codecasa Tre, in 1987. In 2011, the company further expanded with additional production facilities in Pisa.

A milestone came in 2004 when the head of the company, Fulvio Codecasa, built a 35-meter family yacht, M/Y MARIA CARLA, named after his wife. This yacht became the first of Codecasa's highly successful Codecasa 35 series.

The company's flagship, the 65-meter M/Y REGINA D’ITALIA, was launched in 2019, showcasing Codecasa's pinnacle of craftsmanship and design.
Facilities
Codecasa operates three production facilities with a combined area of 13,500 square meters:

Codecasa Due SpA is located in the Port of Tuscany, one of Italy’s oldest harbors. This facility spans 6,500 square meters, including 3,500 square meters of covered workshops where the construction, maintenance, and repair of megayachts are carried out.

Codecasa UGO SpA and Codecasa TRE SpA cover a total of 7,000 square meters, situated near the new port of Viareggio.

The company boasts an in-house team of designers and developers with extensive experience. However, for custom projects, Codecasa often collaborates with the world’s leading design houses to create bespoke luxury yachts.
Range
For 2023, Codecasa's order book included several notable projects: the 33.5-meter Codecasa F80, the 24-meter Codecasa F242 (part of the Gentleman’s Yacht series designed by Italian designer Luca Dini), and the 43-meter Codecasa C124, which is scheduled for launch in 2024.

Currently, Codecasa offers a range of semi-custom models ranging from 42 to 65 meters in length. The company also specializes in fully custom projects, allowing clients to personalize every aspect of their yacht, from naval architecture to interior design and technical specifications.
