History
The history of Cranchi began in 1866 in Bellagio, on the shores of Lake Como, where Giovanni Cranchi opened a small workshop for building and repairing wooden rowing boats for local fishermen.

With steadily increasing demand, the company expanded production in the 1930s and introduced its first series of motor and sailing boats. Forty years later, the shipyard embraced a new material for hull construction—fiberglass—launching its first composite model, the Cranchi Pilotina 4.85. This model became iconic among water recreation enthusiasts, with 1,600 hulls sold in just six years.

In 2022, Cranchi expanded its operations by opening a subsidiary, Cranchi Cares Sardinia, in Cala Saccaia. This facility provides pre-sale preparation for new yachts, refit services for used yachts, and dry storage for clients' boats.
Facilities
Cranchi's main production facilities are located on the shores of Lake Como in Lombardy, spread across two advanced plants, both equipped with a unified automated yacht construction system:

SEVENTY PLANT 4 – A 140,000-square-meter facility (with 30,000 square meters of covered space) focused on building yachts up to 24 meters.

Additionally, Cranchi operates: Darsena Bellagio – A marina on the Adriatic coast in San Giorgio di Nogaro, offering 100 berths and 2,400 square meters of covered space. A yacht refitting center on the island of Sardinia, dedicated to the customization and upgrade of Cranchi yachts.
