History
Crescent was founded in 1985 in the small Canadian town of Crescent Beach and, within just 15 years, became one of the country's largest shipbuilders.
The growing order book necessitated an expansion of production capabilities, leading the company to relocate to a new facility in Richmond, a suburb of Vancouver, where it began constructing yachts up to 30 meters in length.
In the early 2000s, the shipyard faced a series of challenges that led to a halt in production.
During this period, the founder's grandson, Tim Charles, established a separate company, Platinum Marine. In 2015, Platinum Marine acquired the Crescent brand and relaunched production. This revival was marked by the launch of the 44-meter superyacht M/Y MUCHOS MAS (model Crescent 145) in 2016, which received numerous awards at the 2017 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.
