History
Founded by Sanzio Nicolini in 1963, CRN initially focused on building small wooden boats. However, the shipyard quickly shifted its focus to constructing steel and aluminum superyachts, maintaining this specialization until 2004 when it joined the Ferretti Group. This transition not only expanded their production capacity to 15 yachts per year but also introduced composite materials into their range.
In 2010, CRN set a new benchmark in yacht length by launching the 72-meter M/Y AZTECA. They further celebrated their 50th anniversary by delivering their 200th creation, the 80-meter M/Y CHOPI CHOPI, to its owner in 2013. To this day, it remains the largest megayacht built by CRN.
In 2022, CRN made headlines with the launch of two luxurious superyachts: the 62-meter M/Y RIO and the 52-meter M/Y CIAO, both designed by the renowned Dutch studio Omega Architects.
The company has received numerous prestigious awards, including the latest accolade at the BOAT International Design & Innovation Awards 2023, where the M/Y RIO won the "Best Naval Architecture in the Displacement Yacht category."

Facilities
The headquarters and primary production facilities of CRN are located in Ancona, covering an area of over 80,000 square meters, including approximately 33,000 square meters of enclosed space. This includes nine fully equipped, high-tech sheds with two overhead cranes and a 250-meter multi-purpose dock with 14 berths for yachts ranging from 24 to 100 meters, complete with a 670-ton lift.
The shipyard has the capacity to build and service up to 24 superyachts simultaneously.

Range
With over fifty years of history, CRN has built a fleet of more than 400 yachts. Among their most notable vessels are impressive steel yachts like the 55-meter M/Y ATALANTE (2015), known for its design inspired by the sleek lines of sports cars and one of the largest in its category by gross tonnage. The 58-meter M/Y ODYSSEY (formerly M/Y J'ADE), launched in 2013, and the 62-meter superyacht M/Y VOICE, with its strikingly aggressive exterior, also stand out in CRN’s impressive portfolio.
Since the year 2000, with the introduction of fiberglass into yacht construction, the most popular models from the shipyard have been the composite CRN 128 and CRN 43, as well as the steel CRN 54 and CRN 60. These models have been realized in exceptional superyachts such as M/Y 5G, M/Y HANA, M/Y MARAYA, and M/Y RAMBLE ON ROSE.
Currently, the shipyard offers clients fully bespoke motor megayachts up to 90 meters in length. This bespoke approach allows for maximum customization to meet clients' needs, drawing on the expertise of leading global exterior and interior designers to combine extraordinary luxury with outstanding performance. This commitment to excellence is a hallmark of CRN.
