History
Founded by British farmer Jack Newington in 1963, Fairline Boats began with a small production of fiberglass yachts, including the Phantom and Targa series. These models quickly gained popularity among weekend boat enthusiasts, leading to explosive demand for the entire Fairline lineup and securing the brand's leading market position. In just the first eight years, around 700 vessels of various sizes were sold, and by 2002, the company had delivered its 10,000th yacht. That same year, Fairline established its owner’s club.

In 2007, the shipyard was acquired by businessmen Alexander Volov and Igor Glyanenko, who shifted the company's production strategy. Since then, Fairline has undergone several ownership changes: in 2011, it was acquired by Better Capital and RBS bank; in 2015, by Wessex Bristol; in 2020, by the RiverRock European Opportunities Fund II, which took a controlling stake; and in 2021, by private investment company Hanover Investors.

Throughout its history, Fairline has received numerous prestigious awards. In 2007, the Fairline Targa 38 was named "European Motor Yacht of the Year" in the 9 to 12 meters category, and in 2019, the Squadron 68 won the World Yacht Trophies award for Best Interior Design at the Cannes Yachting Festival.
Facilities
Fairline Yachts' headquarters and main production facility, spanning 60,000 square meters, are located in Aundel. Due to its distance from the water and the need for transportation, the size of yachts produced there is limited to 24 meters. To address this, additional facilities were established in Hythe, allowing for the production of larger yachts, and in Corby, covering an area of 10,000 square meters. These expansions have increased the annual production capacity to 300 yachts, with the ability to build up to 7 different models concurrently.
Range
From its inception, Fairline Yachts' models have enjoyed widespread popularity. The Sunfury 26 and Sunfury 30 established the brand’s global reputation, while the Targa series became one of the most recognized lines in the hardtop day boat segment.

Fairline Yachts offers 11 models ranging from 9 to 24 meters across four distinct series:

  • Squadron: Motor yachts from 15 to 24 meters with flybridges.
  • Targa: High-performance open yachts from 12 to 19 meters, available in Open and Gran Turismo models.
  • F//LINE: Speedboats up to 10 meters, designed for day cruising.
  • Phantom: Featuring the 20-meter Phantom 65, launched in 2022.

Fairline Yachts continuously enhances and expands its model range. At the 2024 BOOT Düsseldorf international boat show, the shipyard will unveil new models, including the Squadron 58 and Targa 40.
