History
Hargrave began its journey in 1957 as a yacht design bureau under the leadership of renowned designer Jack Hargrave. Jack played a pivotal role in creating some of the most iconic models for major manufacturers like Hatteras, Burger, Amels, Prairie, Atlantic, and Halmatic, among others. Throughout its history as a design bureau, over 250 yacht models were created, leading to the construction of more than 6,000 hulls.

Forty years later, in 1997, when Michael Joyce took the helm, he decided to expand the company’s focus by launching its own yacht production under the Hargrave brand, named in honor of the founder. Hargrave’s deep expertise in design and comprehensive understanding of yacht construction enabled the new shipyard to quickly establish itself as a leading player in the luxury yacht market. Impressively, 40% of Hargrave customers returned with new orders.

Over the years, the Hargrave shipyard has successfully launched more than 50 yachts.
Facilities
Hargrave operates a production facility in Fort Lauderdale, USA, which houses the company's headquarters and the Hargrave Concept Studio design center. In addition, the company has smaller shipyards in Taiwan and Turkey, allowing for a total production capacity of up to 10 hulls per year.
Range
Hargrave builds fully customizable yachts ranging from 24 to 42 meters, allowing clients to choose nearly every aspect - from the superstructure design and propulsion system to the finest details of the interior finish.

Between 2021 and 2023, Hargrave launched three series-production yachts, each measuring 35.5 meters. These yachts were simply named Hargrave B (the superyacht M/Y Hyperion), Hargrave E, and Hargrave F. While the hulls of the first two models were exclusively made of fiberglass, the Hargrave F model was designed with the option of using either aluminum or steel during the project planning stage.
