History
Horizon Yachts began its journey in 1987 in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, when architect John Lu, along with his business partners Gong Shanjia and Cheng Shunhui, founded the shipyard with the aim of introducing luxury yachting to Chinese clients. Within just 13 years, the company not only captured the Asian market but also established itself as a world-class manufacturer.

Due to the rapid growth of its order portfolio and limitations in production capacity, Horizon's management established a conglomerate of subsidiary shipyards and companies known as Horizon Group between 2000 and 2005. This included brands such as Horizon Yachts, Vision Yachts, Premier Yacht, and Atech Composites, with each focusing on specific models, types of vessels, and yacht components.

Throughout its history, Horizon Group has launched over 160 custom superyachts and 600 semi-custom luxury motor yachts, representing one-third of Taiwan's yacht export industry. In the past decade, the company has consistently been recognized as the "Best Motor Yacht Builder in Asia."
