History
Icon Yachts began its journey in 2005 when renowned shipbuilder Wim Koersvelt and entrepreneurs Ton van Dam and Alex Schneider established their own yacht-building business in Harlingen, Netherlands. The brand gained significant recognition thanks to a six-part documentary series aired on Discovery Channel, which showcased the yacht-building process at the yard. This exposure helped expand their order book and diversify the range of yachts they produced.

However, in 2014, the company faced financial difficulties that led to a temporary halt in production. The situation was turned around by billionaire Alexander Mazanov, who replaced Alex Schneider and provided additional investment. This influx of capital and a redefined business strategy revitalized the company's operations.

Despite its relatively short history, Icon Yachts is dedicated to excellence, delivering a perfect blend of design, quality, and comfort. This commitment has earned the company several prestigious awards in the design field, including the ShowBoats Design Awards and the World Superyacht Awards.
Facilities
Icon Yachts operates its main production facility in Harlingen, which boasts direct sea access. The site features a 150-meter covered and heated shed, capable of accommodating up to 4 yachts under construction. Additionally, there is a 90-meter floating dock for yachts up to 28 meters and a 500-meter quay.

These facilities enable the shipyard to undertake nearly any project, regardless of complexity. For these projects, Icon Yachts collaborates with renowned design studios such as Redman Whiteley Dixon, Tim Heywood Design, and H2 Yacht Design. The entire process, from initial sketch to client delivery, is completed within approximately 3 years.
Range
Icon Yachts offers a diverse fleet that includes both high-speed yachts and luxury motor superyachts with transatlantic range, ranging from 40 to 70 meters in length. Notable yachts from the company include M/Y BASMALINA II at 41 meters, M/Y ICON, M/Y PARTY GIRL, and M/Y BATON ROUGE, each measuring 62 meters.

The shipyard is actively developing new projects, with the fully conceptualized 64-meter explorer yacht, Project MISSION, being one of their latest endeavors.
