ISA Yachts was founded in 2001 by two shipbuilding giants, Overmarine and Rodriguez Group, who decided to combine their production capabilities in a new shipyard. This restructuring proved successful, and even during the global economic crisis, the yachts produced by the new company remained in high demand. Since its inception, ISA has launched over 50 yachts.

In 2016, the shipyard was acquired by the Palumbo Superyachts group, which also includes brands like Columbus Yachts, Mondomarine, Palumbo SY Refit, and Extra Yachts. Extra Yachts is a sub-brand of ISA Yachts, founded in 2018.

Currently, three yachts are under construction at the shipyard: the Custom 66, Custom 80, and Granturismo 80, two of which will be the largest models in the ISA lineup. One of the shipyard's most notable projects to date is M/Y OKTO (66.4 meters), with architecture and interior design developed in collaboration with renowned designers Andrea Vallicelli and Alberto Pinto.

The state-of-the-art ISA Yachts facility covers an area of over 52,000 square meters, with 13,000 square meters of covered space. This includes administrative buildings, wood and metal workshops, and three large sheds designed for the construction, maintenance, and refit of mega yachts up to 110 meters in length.

ISA Yachts offers a diverse range of planing, semi-displacement, and displacement yachts across several series:

• Continental (65 – 80 meters), 
• Crossbow (70 – 100 meters), 
• Granturismo (33 – 67 meters), 
• Classic (41 – 66 meters), 
• Sportivo (29 – 44 meters), 
• eXtra Yachts (23 – 40 meters), 
• Custom series (41 – 43 meters).

ISA Yachts is one of the few Italian shipyards that not only provides extensive customization options for the interiors and layouts of their series models but also takes a bespoke approach to building large, tailor-made yachts.
