History
Kockums traces its origins back to 1840 when the successful entrepreneur Frans Henrik Kockum established a small workshop with a forge in southern Malmö. Within 50 years, this workshop evolved into a conglomerate of factories and production facilities, including a shipyard.

The shipbuilding division began to take shape towards the end of the 19th century, and by the mid-20th century, Kockums had become one of the largest shipbuilding enterprises in the world.

On July 22, 2014, Kockums was acquired and became part of the defense company Saab AB.
Range
Notable yachts from Kockums include the flagship vessel, the 41-meter aluminum catamaran ROYAL FALCON ONE, launched in 2019, and the 54-meter sailing superyacht M/Y LADY ELLEN, built in 1982. These yachts exemplify the shipyard’s expertise and commitment to high-quality craftsmanship.
