The company was originally founded as a small lumber processing factory in the Linhai Industrial Park in Kaohsiung, known as Kha Shing Lumber Co., Ltd. In 1977, it was acquired by the Gong brothers, who transformed the operation into a yacht shipyard. Just one year later, the first pleasure yacht of the new brand was launched.

Over the next 20 years, production steadily grew, reaching a record of 94 yachts per year. This achievement contributed to Taiwan’s reputation as the "Kingdom of Yachting in Asia," and the shipyard was consistently ranked among the top 20 global yacht manufacturers for yachts over 24 meters in the Global Order Book.

In 2007, the shipyard celebrated the completion of its 1,000th yacht.

One of Monte Fino’s most notable models is the 85 Echo, which received the Custom Yacht Award at the 2014 Motor Boat Awards from Motor Boats Monthly Magazine in the UK.

Monte Fino’s primary production facility, spanning 30,300 square meters, is located in Kaohsiung. It features assembly halls, tooling workshops, and the island's largest test basin. The shipyard is also equipped with two yacht lifts capable of handling vessels up to 300 tons and 46 meters in length.

Monte Fino Shipyard offers a range of motor yachts across several series:

• C Class: Elegant cruising catamarans ranging from 14 to 20 meters.
• F Class: Spacious motor yachts with flybridges, available in 23 to 26 meters.
• E Class: Explorer yachts designed for adventure, at 26 meters.
• S Class: Luxury superyachts from 32 to 40 meters.
• V Class: Voyager series motor yachts at 20 meters.
• MF Custom: Bespoke yachts tailored to individual specifications, maintaining the distinctive Monte Fino DNA.
