History
Mulder was founded in 1938 in Voorschoten, Netherlands, when Dirk Mulder opened a small workshop building wooden sailing yachts. Twelve years later, the shipyard made a complete shift to steel as the primary material for hull construction.

In 1965, Mulder Shipyard launched its first motor yacht, marking the start of the Super Favorite Cruiser series, which went on to establish the shipyard's popularity.

When Dirk Robert Mulder took over the company in 1984, the shipyard began incorporating aluminum into its production, a material that remains the cornerstone of Mulder's yacht models to this day.
Facilities
The family-owned Mulder Shipyard operates three production facilities in the Leiden area and a fourth in Enkhuizen, employing more than 80 highly skilled professionals. The shipyard also features two dry docks, each 58 meters long, accommodating yachts with a displacement between 300 and 500 GT, a hoist with a lifting capacity of up to 100 tons, and a covered water basin measuring 20 x 20 meters for servicing Mulder yachts. Mulder Shipyard has the capacity to build up to four hulls per year.
Range
Mulder Shipyard offers a diverse range of 6 aluminum yacht and cruiser models across the following series:

  • Favorite: A cruiser line featuring three models—1500, 1700, and 2200—ranging from 15.6 to 22.5 meters.
  • Wheelhouse: A 23-meter expedition yacht built for adventure.
  • ThirtySix: A 36-meter semi-displacement superyacht with transatlantic range.
  • FIFTY: A 50-meter superyacht with a gross tonnage of 500 GT.

Among the standout models is the Favorite 1500, a 15-meter cruiser with a hardtop, designed to celebrate the shipyard's 70th anniversary.
