History
Nobiskrug's history began in 1905 when entrepreneur Otto Stork founded a small shipyard in Rendsburg, Germany, specializing in barges, pontoons, and sailing vessels. It wasn't until 95 years later that the company entered the luxury yacht sector, launching the 92-meter superyacht M/Y TATOOSH in 2000. This vessel was highly acclaimed by yacht experts and potential buyers alike.

The success of this first model enabled Nobiskrug to secure a multi-year order book, and growing demand for megayachts necessitated the expansion of their production facilities. This led to the construction of a 160-meter assembly hall capable of building two hulls simultaneously in a covered space. Notable launches that followed include the 73-meter M/Y SIREN, built for British billionaires David and Simon Reuben, the 68-meter M/Y TRIPLE SEVEN, and the 74-meter M/Y MOGAMBO, which was named "Best Motor Yacht of 2013" with a gross tonnage exceeding 1,300 GT.

In 2015, Nobiskrug, in collaboration with German Naval Yards Kiel, formed the German shipbuilding group GERMAN NAVAL YARDS and opened a representative office in Berlin. However, in 2021, the company’s assets were acquired by Flensburger-Schiffbau Gesellschaft mbH.

Throughout its history, Nobiskrug has built over 800 vessels of various types, including superyachts and megayachts.
Facilities
Nobiskrug operates three production facilities in northern Germany, located in Kiel and Rendsburg, covering a total area of over 500,000 square meters. These facilities include a 160-meter by 25-meter assembly hall, a 200-meter dry dock, and various workshops that handle all aspects of ship construction and interior accessories without the need for external contractors.

The company's team of over 900 highly skilled professionals works across these three sites.
Range
Nobiskrug offers custom-built superyachts with steel hulls and fiberglass superstructures, ranging from 60 to 143 meters, tailored to meet the specific needs of each client.

The flagship of the Nobiskrug fleet is the 143-meter sailing superyacht M/Y "A," featuring masts that reach 90 meters in height and sails that span an area larger than a football field. This innovative motor-sailing hybrid has captured the attention of yacht experts worldwide and solidified Nobiskrug's position as a leading manufacturer of megayachts.
