History
Founded in 1988 with a production base in the suburbs of Perth, Western Australia, Oceanfast quickly gained popularity not only in Australia but also in the global yacht market. In 1999, the shipyard was acquired by Austal Limited, a company seeking to expand into the leisure vessel sector. Unfortunately, Oceanfast has since ceased operations.
Facilities
Oceanfast's main production facility was located in Henderson, Australia. It included two assembly hangars, workshops, storage areas, a fully equipped dock, and the shipyard's headquarters.
Range
At the time of its closure, Oceanfast specialized in the construction of both custom yachts ranging from 36 to 70 meters and a line of semi-custom yachts with transatlantic range, including two models: the Oceanfast 36 and Oceanfast 48.
The shipyard's flagship is the 70-meter motor megayacht M/Y NOMAD, boasting an impressive range of 8,500 nautical miles.
