History
The history of Oyster Yachts began in 1973 when founder Richard Matthews designed and built his first cruiser, the UFO 34, which became the precursor to the successful Oyster line. The first model in this series was launched in 1978.

In 2013, the company organized its first global regatta, the Oyster World Rally, a 27,000-nautical-mile event for loyal Oyster yacht owners. The rally was so popular that the shipyard held it again in 2017 and 2022, attracting even more participants.

For some time, Oyster collaborated with external organizations for yacht design and construction. Today, however, the company operates its own production facilities with a team of 600 highly skilled specialists.
Range
Oyster Yachts offers six models of cruising sailing yachts ranging from 16 to 28 meters, as well as designs and builds custom superyachts up to 38 meters. Around 50% of the brand's yachts are repeat orders from loyal clients.

The flagship of the Oyster fleet is the 38-meter sailing superyacht M/Y TWILIGHT, launched in 2012.
