History
Perini Navi was founded by Fabio Perini, a 26-year-old owner of a paper industry equipment company. Driven by his desire to build a large sailing yacht that could be operated with a minimal crew, Fabio couldn’t find a suitable manufacturer and decided to establish his own yacht-building business. He pioneered the development of an automatic sail management system for large sailing yachts, a signature feature of Perini Navi vessels.

In the 2000s, to expand its production capabilities, the company acquired the Italian shipyards Beconcini and Picchiotti, along with the Yildiz shipyard in Turkey.

As of January 2022, Perini Navi became part of The Italian Sea Group, founded by Giovanni Costantino. While Fabio Perini stepped back from management, he retained ownership of 50.1% of the company's shares.

Throughout its history, Perini Navi has built over 60 yachts and established itself as a global leader in the production of sailing yachts over 50 meters.
Facilities
Perini Navi operates three production facilities: a shipyard in Tuzla, Turkey, where hull construction takes place, and the Beconcini and Picchiotti shipyards in Italy, where the hulls are outfitted and completed. These Italian facilities also handle yacht maintenance and refits.
Range
Perini Navi builds sailing yachts, sail-assisted motor yachts, and catamarans ranging from 25 to 88 meters. In 2023, the company unveiled its new Genesis line of sailing superyachts and megayachts, featuring four models ranging from 48 to 77 meters.

One of the shipyard’s most renowned vessels, and the flagship of the Perini Navi fleet, is the iconic 88-meter three-masted sailing megayacht M/Y MALTESE FALCON, launched in 2006. It is equipped with the innovative DynaRig sail system. Another record-breaking yacht from the shipyard is the 60-meter sailing megayacht M/Y PERSEUS 3, launched in 2015, boasting a 75-meter carbon mast, one of the tallest in the world at the time.

In 2024, Perini Navi launched a unique project—the 47-meter aluminum catamaran ArtExplorer. This vessel will serve as a floating museum for two years, showcasing famous works of art around the globe. The exhibition is expected to welcome over 2,000 guests during its journey.
