Pershing
about the shipyard
‘Speed and more speed’—this is the core philosophy of the Italian brand Pershing, part of the global network of yacht brands under the Ferretti Group. The shipyard specializes in semi-custom and custom luxury sport yachts made from aluminum, fiberglass, and carbon, ranging from 16 to 44 meters in length.

To achieve the highest speeds, Pershing boldly experiments with hull design and incorporates innovative technologies, such as powerful propulsion systems and surface-piercing propellers. This aggressive approach has firmly established Pershing in the high-speed yacht market, making it especially popular among younger buyers.

History
Pershing was founded in 1985 by three Italian entrepreneurs—Tilli Antonelli, Fausto Filippetti, and Giuliano Onori—who collaborated with naval architect Fulvio De Simoni to develop and launch their first high-speed yacht, the Pershing 45. This was an open-style yacht, a unique concept at the time, offering a spacious layout comparable to flybridge models of the same length.

The remarkable success of the Pershing 45 not only dramatically increased the company's order book but also provided a strong impetus for expanding its model range and attracted interest from major players in the yachting industry. In 1998, the shipyard was acquired by the Ferretti Group, an international network that includes leading brands such as Riva, Ferretti, Itama, Custom Line, WALLY, and CRN. This acquisition enabled Pershing to expand its production capabilities and collaborate with renowned designers, such as Poltrona Frau, who have been designing the interiors of Pershing yachts for the past decade.
Facilities
Pershing's main production facility, spanning 53,000 square meters, is located in Mondolfo, Italy. The company also boasts a well-established network of dealers and service centers worldwide.
Range
Pershing's model lineup includes three series:

  • The X Series, which features sport yachts with a hardtop ranging from 16 to 28 meters (models include the Pershing 5X, 6X, 7X, 8X, and 9X);
  • The GTX Series, which offers high-speed yachts with spacious flybridges from 24 to 40 meters in length (models include the GTX 80 and GTX 116);
  • The Superyachts division, represented by the Pershing 140—a fully aluminum 43-meter yacht with an elevated helm station.

Additionally, the shipyard continues to produce traditional open yachts, including the Pershing 45, Pershing 80, and Pershing 115.
Innovation and specialization
The standout feature of Pershing yachts is their speed. Even the company’s superyachts can reach impressive speeds of 40-50 knots. To achieve such performance, Pershing's designers employ unconventional engineering solutions. For instance, to enhance the speed of the Pershing 115 model, they installed an MTU TF50 turbine with 5,600 horsepower, boosting the yacht’s top speed from 36 to 55 knots.
