History
Prestige was founded in 1989 as a dedicated motor yacht division of Jeanneau, a company previously focused on sailboats. The inaugural model, the Prestige 41, was introduced with exceptional seafaring qualities. In 1995, Prestige and its parent company joined the Beneteau Group.
In 2000, the shipyard launched its first flybridge yacht, the Prestige 36, which enjoyed huge success and led to a significant increase in orders, necessitating the expansion of production facilities. This prompted the opening of a new manufacturing site in France.
By 2010, Prestige had become an independent brand within the Beneteau Group and entered the large yacht market with the Prestige 60, equipped with innovative Volvo Penta IPS engines. This model achieved notable success not only in Europe but also in China, where 20 units were sold over five years.
In 2014, the shipyard made a splash in the yachting world with the launch of the Prestige 750 at its new Monfalcone (Italy) facility. This flagship model received several prestigious awards: the 2014 WORLD YACHTS TROPHIES for "Best Layout," the 2014 Nautic Design Award in Paris, and the 2015 European Power Boat of the Year in Düsseldorf.
Not resting on its laurels, Prestige introduced the PRESTIGE 680 (680S) in 2016, which was named Best Motor Yacht of the Year. This model laid the foundation for the new S-Line of sport yachts launched in 2018.
Two years later, Prestige unveiled the X-Line series (models X60 and X70), featuring a design that expands interior space by eliminating side passages to the bow, with access via a bridge from the flybridge.
In 2023, responding to trends for larger open spaces on board, Prestige introduced its first catamaran, the PRESTIGE M8, designed by the renowned naval architect Mark Lombard.
To date, over 4,000 yachts have been built by Prestige.
