History
The company was founded by Texas entrepreneur Don Davis, who, in 2003, faced the insolvency of Sovereign Yachts of British Columbia, which was unable to complete his 42-meter three-deck yacht due to financial difficulties. Davis acquired the shipyard, invested in new equipment, and resumed construction of his vessel. A year later, Davis renamed the brand to Richmond Yachts, under which the shipyard is known today.
Facilities
The Richmond Yachts production facility, covering a total area of 24,000 square meters, is located in Richmond, Canada. It features an assembly hall where up to four composite yachts up to 47 meters can be built simultaneously, a deep-water dock, a separate laminating shop, and various workshops.
Range
Richmond Yachts builds custom superyachts ranging from 36 to 47 meters in length. The flagship of the Richmond fleet is the 46-meter superyacht M/Y EXCELLENCE, launched in 2010.
