History
Royal Huisman was founded by Jan Huisman and began operations in 1884 as a manufacturer of small wooden boats and yachts for leisure and fishing. Consistent demand led to the company's growth and expansion of its product range.

Seventy years later, under the leadership of Wolter Huisman, the company shifted its focus to building racing sailing and motor yachts, while also transitioning to steel and aluminum as the primary materials for new models' hulls.

By the time of its 100th anniversary, the company was granted the title "Royal" by Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands, in recognition of its impeccable reputation.
