History
Saxdor Yachts was founded in Finland as a shipyard focused on building high-performance, technology-driven motorboats. The company was established by Sakari Mattila, previously the founder of Aquador, Paragon, XO Boats, and Axopar - a background that defines the brand’s strategic positioning within the performance boat segment. Production commenced in 2019, and since then more than 2,000 boats have been built. The company continues to demonstrate steady growth, supported by a well-engineered hull architecture and a scalable production structure.
Facilities
Production facilities are located in Poland and Finland. In Poland, four sites in Ełk and Olecko cover approximately 21,000 m² of production space. In Finland, two facilities in Larsmo, totaling more than 8,000 m², specialize in 40-foot models and above. The infrastructure includes a centralized operations center, an in-house carpentry division, dedicated assembly lines, a test pool, and a multi-level quality control system.
Range
The model range of Saxdor Yachts spans five size categories from 20 to 40 feet and is positioned within the premium performance motorboat segment, characterized by an open deck layout architecture. The Saxdor 340 GTWA received the Design Innovation Award at the Genoa International Boat Show, highlighting the brand’s design excellence and engineering standards. The lineup continues to expand.
Innovation and specialization
The engineering concept of Saxdor Yachts is based on a twin-stepped deep-V hull designed to optimize hydrodynamics and fuel consumption while maintaining high cruising speeds. Hull structures are produced using vacuum infusion technology, ensuring weight reduction, structural integrity, and consistent build quality. Manufacturing processes are centralized through an operational center that integrates design, engineering, and production planning. Each boat undergoes in-house testing prior to delivery to the client. Quality control is implemented at every stage of production, supported by specialized tools and software systems.
