History
In 2007, industrialist Guido Orsi and former Baglietto executives Michel Karsenti and Renzo Chelazzi founded the brand Tankoa Yachts. They introduced the public to two 65-meter megayacht projects, designed by renowned specialists Vincenzo Ruggiero and Francesco Paszkowski.
By the end of 2009, the company had established its staff and begun production. To enhance its marketing department, Michel Karsenti, owner of Yacht-Ology, was recruited.
In 2015, the shipyard made a successful debut at the Monaco Yachts Show with several concepts, including the 69-meter megayacht M/Y SUERTE. This yacht was chartered for four months and later purchased by the same charter client. M/Y SUERTE also became a finalist at the 2016 ShowBoats Design Awards in the marine architecture category.
In 2018, Tankoa launched its largest yacht to date, the 72-meter Tankoa S693 SOLO. This marked a significant milestone for the shipyard and led to the development of future models. The megayacht was noted for its modern design, high level of comfort, and advanced technologies.
In 2021, Tankoa acquired the 76-year-old shipyard Cantieri di Pisa, significantly expanding its production capabilities.
