Triton Yachts was founded in 1984 by engineer José Maria Cechelero Jr., who began assembling buggies, truck hoods, kiosks, kayaks, and boats in a small garage in Curitiba. In 1994, the company relocated to a new facility in São José dos Pinhais, covering 31,500 square meters (with 7,200 square meters of indoor space), where it launched its first line of motorboats, the QUEST series, inspired by the renowned "Bass Boats." In 2000, the shipyard launched its first recreational motorboat in the TRITON series, which has since become the company’s main product line.

Triton Yachts offers a range of 15 models of motorboats and yachts, spanning from 7 to 16 meters in length.
