History
Viking Yachts was founded in 1964 when brothers Bob and Bill Healey acquired the Peterson-Viking Yachts boat manufacturer in New Jersey and transformed it into a yacht repair and refit operation. However, the company's own yacht production didn’t begin until 1971, marked by the launch of the first fiberglass model, the Viking 33 Convertible. This model, along with subsequent releases, quickly gained popularity in the American yacht market, establishing Viking as a global leader in the production of fiberglass-hulled yachts. Throughout its history, the company has launched over 5,000 hulls.
Facilities
Viking Yachts operates multiple manufacturing facilities along the Bass and Mullica Rivers, covering a total area of over 74,000 square meters. The Viking Group also includes a yacht service center in Florida, a shipyard in Egg Harbor City where yachts under the Valhalla brand are built, Palm Beach Towers, a manufacturer of sportfishing towers, and Atlantic Marine Electronics, a developer of marine electronics. Notably, Viking Yachts prides itself on producing 90% of all components for its yachts in-house.
Range
Viking Yachts offers sportfishing vessels and motor yachts ranging from 11 to 28 meters in the following series: Billfish, Enclosed Bridge, Motor Yachts, Open, Open Bridge, and Sport Yachts.

The flagship of the Viking fleet is the 28-meter superyacht M/Y INDIGO, launched in 2019.
