History
Wally was founded in 1994 by experienced Italian entrepreneur Luca Bassani. His vision was to create a completely new, ultra-modern style of yachts for luxury leisure, which was revolutionary at the time.

Initially, Wally Yachts focused exclusively on building sailing yachts. However, after joining the Ferretti Group in 2019 and receiving new investments for development and production, the shipyard expanded its fleet to include a series of motor cruisers and superyachts.

Throughout its history, Wally has delivered over 140 yachts of various sizes to its clients.
Facilities
For quite some time, Wally Yachts did not have its own production facilities, and all its yachts were built at the yards of other shipbuilders, such as Persico, Green Marine, and Nobiskrug. However, after becoming part of the Ferretti Group, Wally yachts began to be constructed at the Ferretti facility in Ancona, Italy.

To develop new projects, Wally collaborates with renowned naval architects and design studios, including Reichel Pugh, Judel/Vrolijk, Tripp Design, Soto Acebal, Frers Design, Pininfarina, and others.
Range
Wally Yachts offers its clients luxurious semi-custom yachts ranging from 12 to 45 meters, available in two series: Sail—sport-cruising and cruising sailing yachts; and Motor—motor yachts and superyachts.

The shipyard's most famous yacht is the M/Y GALEOCERDO (118 Wally Power model), launched in 2003. This yacht was recognized with the Millennium Yacht Design Award as the "Yacht of the Third Millennium" and was exhibited at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art in 2004. The largest composite yacht designed and built by Wally Yachts is the 50-meter sailing yacht M/Y BETTER PLACE.
