The Bering 72 is a classic example of a steel-hulled explorer yacht, ideal for long expeditions and solo cruising. A total fuel capacity of 24,000 liters provides an impressive range of over 4,000 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 8 knots.
The advanced design and engineering of the Bering 72 takes into account over 10,000 nm of navigation and feedback from owners of her predecessor (Bering 65). The transom is nearly vertical with a large swim platform, and the yacht's streamlined exterior is complemented by smoother lines and large panoramic windows. In addition to maximizing guest accommodation space, vertical portholes in the bow give the Bering 72 a contemporary look.
The Bering 72 features a three-deck layout. The teak-covered flybridge with helm provides ample space for all guests to enjoy sunsets while preparing meals right there in the fully equipped galley.
The outside deck is visually separated from the flybridge and can accommodate one large or two small tenders, which are easily lowered and raised with a hydraulic crane.
The main deck has the salon and galley on different levels. The saloon has a dinette with a built-in U-shaped settee to starboard. To port among two wine cabinets is a huge 48-inch retractable TV panel for entertaining guests.
Moving forward, immediately behind the pilot house is the full-beam galley. Visually separated from the salon by a staircase, the galley nevertheless brings everyone together. The galley has plenty of storage and is well equipped with refrigerators, electric stove, oven, microwave and trash compactor.
The exterior areas of the Bering 72 include a sun lounge forward of the pilothouse, an al fresco dining area in the cockpit and a large swim platform.
The lower deck is completely isolated from engine noise by steel bulkheads with soundproofing layers. Forward is the master stateroom with full beam bathroom, full size bathtub and two closets. Guest cabins with en-suite bathrooms are located amidships on the port side, while the starboard and crew compartments are next to the engine compartment.
The Bering 72 is a true compact explorer, ideal for a group of friends or family traveling in comfort and without fuss.
