BLACK LEGEND is a 49.9m Mangusta 165E built by Overmarine Group and launched in 2017. Her hull is constructed in fiberglass, with exterior styling by Stefano Righini. The yacht is ABS-classed and underwent a full five-year survey in 2022. She has remained under the ownership of a single owner and has been meticulously maintained since delivery.
Powered by four MTU 16V 2000 M94 diesel engines producing 2,600 hp each, coupled with ZF gearboxes and KaMeWa waterjets, her engines have logged between 1,420–1,454 hours. BLACK LEGEND reaches a cruising speed of 25 knots and a top speed of 35 knots, with underway and at-anchor stabilization for smooth sailing.
Her dimensions include a gross tonnage of 485 GT, a beam of 9.2m, and a draft of 1.9m. Accommodation is for up to 10 guests in four cabins: a full-beam master with office and walk-in wardrobe, a VIP suite, and two guest cabins. The lower deck features a cinema room, which can also serve as an additional sleeping area. Crew accommodation is for up to nine in five cabins, complemented by a fully equipped galley and service areas.
The main salon flows seamlessly into the aft deck, offering bar, dining, and lounge spaces. Outdoor decks include a forward area with a Jacuzzi, sun loungers, and seating; a sunbathing zone with bar and DJ station; and a beach club with swim platform and garage for tenders and water toys.
Maintenance is performed annually, including service of MTU engines, KaMeWa waterjets, generators, Humphree stabilizers, and Idromar watermakers. In 2023–2024, the yacht received new generator components, full waterjet and watermaker servicing, and complete MTU engine maintenance.
BLACK LEGEND comes with an extended MTU warranty and represents the perfect combination of high-performance cruising, speeds up to 35 knots, and a thoughtful layout suitable for both private use and charter operations.
