PROJECT ORION

PROJECT ORION is a yacht in Heesen's advanced series of 50m FDHF Heesen aluminum vessels equipped with a hybrid propulsion system. This innovative hybrid system provides silent sailing and adaptive steering, maximizing energy efficiency.

Powered by two MTU 12V 2000 M61 engines of 600 kW each, PROJECT ORION has a top speed of 16.3 knots. Remarkably, at a cruising speed of 12 knots, fuel consumption is only 98 liters per hour. In hybrid mode at 10 knots, fuel consumption is significantly reduced to just 45 liters per hour. These exceptional figures are unparalleled for a luxury 50-meter yacht with a displacement of 295 tons.

PROJECT ORION, designed by Frank Laupman of Omega Architects, features a visually striking profile characterized by an almost vertical bow and large floor-to-ceiling windows. The vertical bow design, complete with splash guards, is not only in line with current trends, but also improves the yacht's maneuverability.

Italian designer Cristiano Gatto has incorporated a uniquely modern aesthetic into the yacht's interior, maximizing the use of natural light to create bright, spacious spaces with panoramic views of the seascape through the open onboard windows. With six staterooms, including a master suite on the main deck, a full-beam VIP suite and four double cabins on the lower deck, PROJECT ORION is ideal for both private use and charter.
