The new Tankoa S501 quickly attracted its first customers, and the hulls already built have proven their principles in testing and subsequent operation.
The layout of the main deck can be customized in a wide range, including the possibility of designing the owner's cabin in several configurations. Perfect seaworthiness, excellent stabilization, and low noise levels in all areas are a must for a yacht of this class, and 501S is recognized by professionals as excellent in any of these respects. All of the above makes this one of the most comfortable yachts in the 500GT category.
The concept allows the yacht to be built either on the basis of a classic propulsion system or on the basis of a hybrid scheme, which is currently gaining momentum in the market. The hybrid scheme, in addition to the two main diesel engines, includes two high power generators and two electric motors located on the main shafts with the main propulsion systems. The use of this scheme allows the use of several modes of separate and parallel operation of the propulsion systems to maximize efficiency in terms of both fuel consumption, noise level and service life of the units. The Tankoa S501 has a top speed of 17 knots with a fuel consumption of less than 450 liters per hour, an outstanding result for a steel yacht with a hull length of 50 meters.
