Description

HANSE EXPLORER is a purpose-built expedition yacht, designed for exploration in the most remote corners of the world. Built in 2006 by German shipyard Fassmer Werft and fully refitted in 2023, this 48-meter vessel features a steel hull and carries an Ice Class 1A Super rating, allowing her to navigate dense multi-year polar ice with ease - whether cruising through Arctic seas or discovering untouched Pacific atolls.

She accommodates up to 12 guests in 7 versatile cabins, most of which can be configured as either twin or single, offering flexibility for different charter group types. Two additional berths are available for an expedition leader or dive master, complementing her experienced crew of 15.

On deck, guests can unwind in the Jacuzzi or warm up in the Finnish sauna after a day of diving, hiking, or wildlife spotting. Every charter includes a dedicated expedition guide, and the yacht’s two captains, both with over a decade of experience onboard, bring invaluable knowledge of polar routes and remote destinations.

Her dive setup meets the latest standards, with a Nitrox compressor and a dedicated 7.5-meter dive tender ideal for exploring vibrant reefs or shipwrecks. Designed for efficiency and sustainability, HANSE EXPLORER is powered by a reliable and economical MAK diesel engine, equipped with a shaft generator and a reverse osmosis plant producing 20,000 liters of fresh water per day. All operations are carbon offset, highlighting her commitment to responsible adventure cruising.
