Charter the yacht MARALA | Yacht broker - NAU Yachts

MARALA
Custom Built / 58.8 m / 1931
/ from €220,000 p/week + expenses
Description

A true icon of the Golden Age of yachting, MARALA was built in 1931 by Camper & Nicholsons to a design by Charles Nicholson. Following a major restoration at Pendennis completed in 2022, she was awarded Rebuild Superyacht of the Year 2023. The project carefully preserved her historic character and original details while discreetly integrating modern comforts, making MARALA an exceptional yacht both in heritage and in operation.

She accommodates 12 guests in six cabins, including a full-beam master suite, four doubles, and one twin. Interiors reflect the 1930s spirit, with period details enhanced by contemporary refinements for 21st-century comfort. Up to 18 crew deliver first-class service on board.

MARALA’s deck spaces offer a blend of elegance and leisure, featuring expansive lounges, an original open-air cinema, a copper jacuzzi, and a unique pontoon for side guest boarding.

Remarkably, she still runs on her original 1930 MAN direct-drive engines. While maneuvering requires patience due to their heritage mechanics, these engines are celebrated for their smooth and reliable performance. She cruises at 10.5 knots with an impressively economical fuel burn of just 167 liters per hour.

A wide selection of water toys complements the onboard experience: Ribeye and Cockwells Duchy tenders, a 17ft wooden boat, Tiwal inflatable sailboat (2024), canoe, kayaks, Fliteboards, SUPs, water skis, wakeboards, towable inflatables, plus full snorkeling and safety gear.

Croatia
Embark on a journey of unparalleled beauty in Croatia! Picture yourself sailing along the stunning Adriatic coastline, exploring hidden gems like Diocletian’s Palace in Split. With crystal-clear waters, charming villages, and a rich history, Croatia is a dream destination for yacht charters. Indulge in the Mediterranean sun and create unforgettable memories on the open seas. Your Croatian yacht charter adventure awaits!

While Croatia enjoys a Mediterranean climate, the warmest period is during the European summer (July-August). However, booking a yacht charter in Croatia during the shoulder seasons (May-June or September-October) still provides warm weather for swimming in the Adriatic's crystal-clear waters, minus the peak tourist crowds.
Greece
Greece, a land of fabulous beauty, remains one of the world's most popular travel destinations and has almost 15,000 kilometers of coastline and over 2,000 islands, of which only 170 are inhabited.

There is no better way to explore the beauty of the Greek islands and the coastline of mainland Greece than on a private yacht. By chartering a yacht, you can see unique landscapes and experience the culture of several islands in a short period of time. Some of the islands have airports, making it possible to get to the yacht fairly quickly. The islands are close to each other, and the term "island-hopping" is used here for a reason. You can easily visit a dozen islands during a short cruise, explore isolated beaches with their unique local culture and taste the freshest national food.

Greece has over 250 days of sunshine a year and a typical Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers. The peak cruising season is the summer from June to August, however, May, September and October are also great for yacht vacations. Temperatures are still comfortable, although a little cooler than in summer, and the water in the sea is lovely for swimming.
French Riviera
Experience the azure French Riviera and solid Monaco! Imagine turquoise waters, sun-drenched beaches and yacht adventures waiting to happen. The French Riviera is a canvas of sophistication and natural beauty, from the chic beaches of St. Tropez to the timeless elegance of Nice.

Discover the luxury of Monaco. Imagine cruising along the azure coastline, anchor in secluded coves and discover the hidden gems of the region. The French Riviera and Monaco invite you to experience a world of elegance and maritime magic. Your dream yacht trip begins here, amidst the breathtaking scenery of the Côte d'Azur.

The season here lasts all year round, but the summer months from May to September guarantee the best weather for an exciting charter.
