PATEA is a 29-metre sailing yacht delivered in 2012 by Alia Yachts and extensively refitted in 2021. Designed by Warwick Yacht Design, she was conceived as a comfortable and capable cruiser for both coastal sailing and long-range offshore passages.
Equipped with a furling headsail and asymmetric spinnaker, PATEA is easily handled by a small crew, making her ideal for private family cruising or low-key charters. A 435 hp Volvo Penta engine provides a top speed of 14 knots and a cruising range of up to 2,200 nautical miles at 10 knots. Her 3.7-metre draft offers both bluewater capability and access to shallow anchorages, while solar panels support her energy efficiency and autonomy.
The deck layout features a protected cockpit with a dining and lounge area for 8–10 guests. Aft, there are sunpads, built-in sofas, and a fold-down transom that converts into a spacious swim platform. All sail controls are managed from the aft helm station with electric winches for simplified handling.
Her interiors are light and refined, with oak flooring, walnut cabinetry, and a clean, neutral palette. The raised saloon is fitted with panoramic windows, a dining table, lounge area, and bar. Below deck, she offers four cabins: a full-beam master, one VIP, one twin cabin (convertible), and a multipurpose room that can serve as a guest cabin or private cinema. The layout also includes a separate crew area. In total, she accommodates 8 guests and 4 crew.
PATEA has a strong charter pedigree, including being named "Charter Yacht of the Year" at the Monaco Yacht Show in 2012 — a testament to her blend of performance, elegance, and liveaboard comfort.
