WERE DREAMS is a 52.3-metre motor yacht from the Amels Limited Editions 171 series, delivered in 2008 and meticulously maintained as a private vessel ever since. Never offered for charter, she has explored remote regions across the Indian and Pacific Oceans, and today remains a rare example of a Dutch-built yacht in outstanding condition thanks to minimal use and attentive upkeep.
Her exterior, styled by Tim Heywood, features the timeless lines and expansive deck spaces characteristic of the series. Custom enhancements were introduced during construction, including an extended sundeck with Jacuzzi and sun loungers. A beach club and zero-speed stabilisers enhance comfort both underway and at anchor, while a fully integrated bow garage houses a 6.5-metre Yachtwerft Meyer tender discreetly beneath the hull lines.
The interior, by Laura Sessa, is designed in a refined, understated palette with warm wood finishes and natural materials. Accommodation is for up to 11 guests in six cabins. A full-beam master suite is located on the main deck, while the lower deck includes two VIP suites and two single guest cabins. An additional single cabin on the main deck can serve as either guest accommodation or a staff cabin. The crew of 13 is housed in well-appointed service areas, ensuring high standards of care on board.
Built to Lloyd’s classification, WERE DREAMS is engineered for extended cruising with a range of 4,500 nautical miles at her 13-knot cruising speed. Twin MTU engines of 1,408 hp each deliver a top speed of 15 knots. In 2024, both Northern Lights main generators and the emergency generator underwent full overhauls and were reset to zero hours.
Following a full repaint in 2018 and a series of consistent technical upgrades, WERE DREAMS is in excellent operational condition. For a discerning owner seeking reliability, Northern European craftsmanship, and timeless elegance, she represents a rare turnkey opportunity with no immediate need for refit or redesign.
