BREAKTHROUGH
Feadship / 118.8 m / 2025
/ from €3,500,000 p/week + expenses
Description

BREAKTHROUGH is a 118.8-metre superyacht by Feadship, created as one of the most technologically significant projects in the modern yacht industry. She is the world’s first hydrogen fuel-cell superyacht and the largest motor yacht ever launched in the Netherlands.

The project is built around a move away from diesel-based energy. Her system uses 16 PowerCell hydrogen fuel-cell units producing a combined 3 MW of clean electrical power, with water vapour as the only by-product. This allows the yacht to supply onboard systems without emissions, remain silently at anchor for up to a week, and cruise through protected marine zones at 10 knots without using fossil fuel.

Connection with the sea is achieved through a record number of opening hull elements for Feadship: 14 balconies, 7 large platforms, and 9 shell doors. The balconies extend from the hull at the touch of a button, becoming natural continuations of the interior spaces and creating private terraces close to the water.

Both exterior and interior design were developed by RWD. Across seven decks, the design uses light tones, travertine, rattan, eucalyptus, and oak. Soft lines, circular forms, and concealed lighting create a calm, warm, and contemporary atmosphere without excessive visual display.

One of the yacht’s most unusual spaces is the underwater lounge, integrated into the keel below the beach club. It features six large windows made from 7 cm thick double-layer glass, offering direct views into the ocean. Above it are the beach club, spa area, steam room, sauna with plunge pools, beauty salon, and a 12-seat Dolby Atmos cinema.

Overall, BREAKTHROUGH represents an important milestone in the evolution of large yachts. Hydrogen fuel cells, silent electric propulsion, extensive waterside terraces, an underwater lounge, and a calm RWD interior come together to define a new-generation yacht: quieter, cleaner, and more closely connected to the sea.

Italy
Italy's historical and artistic heritage, fashionable ports, exquisite cuisine, exclusive islands and crystal clear archipelagos will make your sailing vacation in Italy unique.

Ligurian Riviera and Cinque Terre, Portofino, Tuscan Archipelago, Sardinia, Amalfi Coast, Capri, Gulf of Naples, Pontine Islands, Sicily, Aeolian Islands, Puglia, Adriatic Coast: with 7458 km of coastline and more than 800 islands, of which only eighty are inhabited, Italy is a yachtsman's dream.

It is rich in history and culture and has some of the most beautiful scenery in the world. Its countless bays and coves, unique cuisine and mild climate make it one of the best destinations for a yacht cruise.

The best time to vacation in Italy is during the spring season from April to June or fall from September to October. The country's regions are very diverse and are most comfortable to explore during these off-season periods, when temperatures are moderate and there are fewer tourists than during the high season in summer. In spring, many festivals are celebrated throughout the country and the rural alpine regions shine with the vibrant colors of wildflowers. Fall brings some wonderful culinary festivals. It's harvest time, when you can sample newly produced wine and fresh truffles.
French Riviera

The French Riviera and Monaco invite you to experience a world of elegance and maritime magic. Your dream yacht trip begins here, amidst the breathtaking scenery of the Côte d'Azur.

The season here lasts all year round, but the summer months from May to September guarantee the best weather for an exciting charter.
Monaco
Monaco is a great place to visit all year round, but a few high-profile events are a must-see. In May, it hosts the Formula 1 Grand Prix, which attracts thousands of people to Monte Carlo. If you want to check out some of the world's most impressive yachts, be sure to visit in September during the annual Monaco Yacht Show.

Visit the Princely Palace in the old town, stroll along Port Hercule to admire the yachts, and spend time in the Exotic Gardens. The Oceanographic Museum of Monaco is a truly impressive place to visit, this breathtaking building is built on the slope of the legendary Rocher Monaco. To finish the day, fully immerse yourself in the atmosphere of Monte Carlo with a visit to one of the most famous casinos in the world.

Monaco offers a wide range of fine dining restaurants. If you're into wine, then be sure to visit Wine Palace Monte Carlo, which showcases the best wines in the world. It is also located next to the Monaco Yacht Club, so you can admire the beautiful yachts while enjoying a drink. Restron at Hotel de Paris is a great place to dine, as is Joël Robuchon at Metropole. If you want to try something different, the Coya restaurant serves delicious Peruvian cuisine.
Bahamas
The Bahamas consists of 700 islands and coral bays in a stunning archipelago that stands out for its breathtaking reefs. The port of Nassau is known as a place that has attracted pirates for centuries. Today, it is a popular place to start or end a charter vacation. The Exumas and Abaco are prime areas for cruising. Some people prefer to charter in Elutra, but this can be tricky as not many yachts are based there. The best option is to fly into Nassau, which has a major international airport with direct flights from various regions including Europe, the mainland US and Canada.

Bahamas are called paradise islands not only due to the azure water and snow-white sand, but also due to the fact that you can go here on vacation even all year round. The strip of annual Caribbean hurricanes pass through the archipelago infrequently. High season is considered the most comfortable time to stay in the Bahamas. It lasts from November to May.

Accordingly, the low season in the Bahamas begins with the arrival of summer. At this time it becomes not only very hot, but also humid. The air temperature can reach up to +33°C. Due to the tropical climate, the air temperature here never drops below +17°C.
Antigua and Barbuda
Antigua and Barbuda are jewels of the Caribbean, offering ideal conditions for an unforgettable yacht charter. With 365 beaches, turquoise waters, and steady trade winds, it’s a sailor’s paradise. Explore sheltered bays, charming colonial harbors like English Harbour, and the unspoiled beauty of Barbuda’s pink-sand beaches. Whether you're seeking relaxation, water sports, or vibrant island culture, a charter in Antigua and Barbuda combines natural beauty, warm hospitality, and Caribbean charm at its finest.
Saint Barth
Saint Barth (St. Barts) is a glamorous Caribbean charter destination, known for its chic atmosphere, crystal-clear waters, and upscale lifestyle. This small French island blends European elegance with tropical charm, offering beautiful beaches like Colombier and Gouverneur, stylish boutiques, and fine dining. Whether you’re relaxing at anchor in a secluded bay or enjoying the lively harbor of Gustavia, a yacht charter in Saint Barth promises luxury, serenity, and a touch of Riviera flair in the heart of the Caribbean.
